My Ayurveda Journey

Born in a typical south indian family, all they wanted me to become was a doctor. Soon after my 12th grade, eighteen year old me was as confused as any other kid who wanted to pursue a career and decided on medicine.

However, modern medicine was my preferred choice following my brothers footsteps. But getting into a modern medicine school was no joke considering the top grades that was needed. Hence I kept an open mind and decided to pursue traditional Indian medicine. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise for me.

I had a very basic idea about ayurveda before I started learning the intricacies and nuances of Ayurveda. In the first few days I learnt about how the universe is connected to the five elements.  This blew me away and I started looking at everything around me differently.

Following this, I used this awareness as a stepping stone into my learning and started doing case studies on how Ayurveda has helped people all over the world heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

I believe that in Ayurveda the most important thing is consciousness and and to be healthy it is of utmost importance to address the imbalances and treat both the body and mind in the healing process The most important takeaway from my journey so far has been to live in tune with the nature. As nature made you, what you need and what you want shouldn’t be in conflict.
